Finkenberg

Finkenberg is situated in an idyllic location on a sunny plateau in the end of Zillertal, directly at the entrance of Tuxertal leading to the majestic Hintertuxer Glacier.

This is the home town of many well-known personalities such as olympic downhill gold medalist Leonhard Stock, Mountaineer Prof. Peter Habeler, the first person to conquer Mt. Everest without oxygen, and the Zillertaler Schürzenjäger (famous local band).

Finkenberg is also a member of the Zillertal Mountain Nature Park.
